Hi everyone!

I'm having some problem with the battery.

When the PC completely discharges, the computer must be charged for at least fivr minutes before it turns on.

Until a month ago it was not like that and if the computer was charging it immediately turned on.

Considering this problem, I made a diagnosis with the HP support system and I noticed that the battery has an age of 2 years and 2 months, while the notebook was purchased on 3/10/2018. How is it possible that the battery of a sealed product is practically one year longer?

@DaniloArcopinto,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

I reviewed your post and I understand that you are facing issues with the battery on the computer.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

  • How did you run the test on the battery?
  • What was the battery test result?

Meanwhile, I recommend update the BIOS on the computer and check whether the issue is resolved.

Hi The_Fossette,

I ran the battery test through the HP support assistant.

How can I update my BIOS? Everyting is up to date.

The only thing I can see is that the battery age is greater than that of the computer.

Is it a normal thing?

I'm attaching some screenshot to let you see what I see.

This is my warranty status and it is started in 03/10/2018 (the day I bought it)

And this is my battery status.

As you can see the Battery Age (età della batteria) is 2 years and 2 month.

How can that be possible?

thank for your help.

Danilo
