My battery state of charge is 0%.  The battery will not charge.  The computer seems to operate normally with the AC cord plugged in.  If I unplug it though, the computer shuts down immediately (will not run on battery power).  Using HP PC Hardware Diagnostics I have updated the BIOS-System Firmware and tested both the AC Adaptor and the Battery.  Hardware Diagnostics says BIOS has been updated and the adaptor and battery both PASSED their tests.  Does the battery need to be replaced?  Or could there be something else wrong?  How do I interpret the information contained in the battery test result?  If something else is wrong, what should I be checking or testing?
