Hello I have Notebook 15 the laptop was working fine with the battery lasting up to 3 hrs. a few days ago it started having issues and now it cannot boot without being plugged into the AC. I have tried to replace the battery, update BIOS, Uninstall Microsoft controllers, Holding the power button down ... and many other options on the forum. None of them worked. What could be the issues ?. the laptop is also making a cricking sound when I insert the battery and does not go away until the battery is removed. Please help.

@ke254

I reviewed your post and I understand that the computer is not powering on with the battery.

Don’t worry, I assure you I will try my best to get this sorted.

I see that you have already followed all the relevant steps and also, replaced the battery on the computer. It looks like an issue with the battery connector and I recommend you contact support to check the available service options for your computer.

Here is how you can get in touch with support.

1)Click on this link – www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!
