OMEN Laptop - 15-ek0018tx

A few months ago I upgraded to Windows 11 and I've realized that the battery life is terrible after that. The advertised battery life is a lot more than that.

saumitra00_0-1670693346964.png

It doesn't even last 1.5 hours with minimal use (editing a word document) with minimum brightness, battery saver on, no background apps and power mode to Best Power efficiency. The full charge capacity is 77% which definitely shouldn't reduce the expected battery life by 7 folds. The CPU usage while testing battery life was nearly 5% and clock speed was nearly 2.3ghz most of the time. And yes, I double checked that all my drivers are up to date. The battery is also calibrated.

Before I updated to Windows 11 the battery life was significantly more.

Hello @saumitra00

Thanks for reporting.

Your battery is technically in medium condition.

Design Capacity: 53 WHr

Full Charge Capacity: 41 WHr (77%) !

The battery has already undergone numerous charging cycles, but it has lost a lot of capacity overall

Yes the battery has gone through a lot of charge cycles and the full charge capacity isn't the best but the issue started only after i updated to Windows 11 so i think its something related to that.
