My computer battery bloated up so far. I had to take it out because it was making my computer look bloated and I was a fraid it would explode. I am now just using it without a battery plugged into a wall. It is very obnoxious and I believe it damaged the cooling because it gets insanely hot and will crash and or freeze constantly. It has been like this for over a year now. I would like a replacement or repair.

Bloated battery needs to be replaced.
Two choices - actually three:
- Purchase and change out the battery yourself for the expense of having to purchase said battery.
- If the computer is in Warranty, contact HP World-Wide Support, submit a case, prepare to send the computer to HP for repair.
Third, unofficial option
- Wait for an agent to find your message, evaluate the content, and perhaps respond.
Some people do opt for the third option - "bloated" battery is a sensitive subject for some.
The fastest option is to purchase and replace the battery.
We can provide the information to help you replace the battery - let us know.
There is also video available to help.
The basic information you need is located in the Service Guide for your computer.
