Hello everyone 

So my battery charges from 0 all the way to 79% and stops there can't seem to find the issue the charger is the original one included with the laptop

So when i run a battery test it says that Battery cell one has 0mV i don't know if that's helpful but thought I'd include this infos as it might be useful

To keep battery "lives" longer, HP may cap battery at 80% in BIOS on business class machines, for example DEFAULT on my machine which is an Elitebook 840 G5:

Cell 1 is 0mV in my case because it only has 3 cells and battery warranty on my machine is 3 years.

We need to see the full advanced output of the battery test. It is common to have one cell show as zero where it is a 3 cell battery and the test is designed to show results for up to 4 cells. This is a very new laptop and the battery should be covered by warranty. Doubtful it is the AC adapter if it charges at all and runs on the adapter.
