Hi,

If you are using HP diagnostics, try using the latest version.

I am at HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI – v10.5.2.0, which I believe is the latest version

but I see that the version you are using according to your image is , 1.18.1.0 , or it is a third party program and not from HP, because you can't use third party programs for the battery test.

Thank you for your help.  I have issues with my Virtus machine and my wife's probook.  Please see image of a picture I took of the UEFI diagnostics showing  a failure and the Version number. PXL_20240715_185620341.jpg

Are you doing the long test or the short test, if you do the test, make sure it is the short test.

If I run HP PC HArdware Diagnostics from windows Component Tests - it shows cancelled. If I go into the UEFI diagnostics, it shows "The battery charge was unable to test the primary battery.   FYI, about a month ago I was checking the Probook, and it said to calibrate the battery.  I was unsuccessful in calibrating the battery and opened a HP case.  I have since then tried a number of things to test / calibrate the battery.  Now I do not see any info on "Calibrate the battery", and when I try and run the tests, they give confusing results, like I can't find the battery.  My HP Victus laptop bought the same day as the probook, last Nov also gave me conflicting and 'not ok' results.  It said I need to replace the battery at one point.  I was posting in here so that when I talk about the 2 cases I have open (1 Probook 2 Victus) I could have the read and see these results.  Thank you for your time.  If you have any other suggestions I will gladly try.  But, at his point, I have applied all updates and tried the multiple ways to test things that they have available, and they show not ok results, I am at a loss.  FYI, I no longer see anything about battery calibration of either machine.  My understanding is Battery calibration would have improved the life of the battery, for those laptops that are primarily plugged in.

Calibrating the battery when it is not necessary should not be done because calibration always puts the battery under stress.

P.S in the second image I see a total battery charge of 99%, that is very good, not all batteries have this capacity of total charge.
