HP Spectre x360 - 15-bl112dx

Hi. I have been using my PC for about 4,5 years now and have had no issues with the battery. When i used the machine yesterday everything was like normal. When i booted up the machine today i got a warning message telling me that the battery is extreamly damaged and is only at 11% capacity. How is is this possible? i used my machine for about 4-5 hours yesterday without charging, and today it dies after 10 seconds without charging. To me it seems like a software problem, but when i run diagnostics trough hp support assistant nothing is detected, and there are no available updates.
