As reported in the subject, my HP Pavilion - 15-ck003nl's battery is discharging even when the laptop is off (not sleeping, not hibernated - just off). What could the issue be? Should I open a ticket via the support center?

You can certainly open a case with HP.
Commentary
Having said that, know that a bit of battery discharge may not be a "repairable" item under your warranty. That simply means that while the issue is annoying, it may not be a "warranty repair" issue.
If the battery is draining (while the computer is shut down) to the point where the notebook is unusable within 24 hours, then the problem might be worth pursuing with Tech Support.
NOTE: This is a personal opinion only, it is not an attempt to dissuade you from doing what you think is necessary.

Brand new Spectre X360 Battery drains fast when off
Solution offered by Forum Provost Expert Big_Dave
This has reportedly worked for HP Envy 17t u100 CTO):
- Ensure the Power Plan power off button is set to shutdown (not the solution)
- Change settings in the BIOS:
- Disable fast boot (setting not needed with SSD)
- Disable USB charging port although nothing was plugged into the designated charging port.
- Disable Battery remaining time
- Command prompt (admin): exe /hibernate off
- Command prompt (admin): bcdedit /set disabledynamictick yes
NOTE:
This is not an HP provided "update". The idea is offered "as is" in hopes that it will help.

Similar - different wording...
Windows key + X + (then) A (admin cmd prompt)
At the command line prompt, type the following line and hit Enter:
powercfg.exe /hibernate off
Type (or copy and paste) in the following command (including spaces) and hit enter.
shutdown /s /t 0
Start the notebook and let Windows fully load for a couple of minutes before checking if it will now shutdown correctly from the Start Menu.
Why does the battery drain?

Thanks @Dragon-Fur
The laptop is discharging from 100% to 50% overnight, which is far from ideal and leads me to think of a faulty battery here. If it were just a few points, then ok, but the battery drain is way too much. I've already tried most of the solutions you've mentioned (including disabling Fast Boot and battery charge report from BIOS) but nothing I've tried worked so far. I will definitely get in touch with the Tech Support at this point.

Yes, fifty percent loss of charge (or anything remotely close to that) is "too much".
At the least, the battery likely needs to be replaced.

Reminder:
If the computer is under warranty, the battery is still under warranty, too.
Good Luck.
