I have a hp victus 15, and for some time now if i awake my pc from shutdown/hibernate and the batter is below around 45% when it opens the battery will immediately drop down to 0% but otherwise if im just using my pc the batter works normally and will drain until it runs out of battery, so it will work like its supposed to. this is my battery report:

Hi @Ruel11,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop's battery!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

It looks like your HP Victus 15 has an issue where the battery percentage incorrectly drops to 0% when waking from shutdown or hibernation, but otherwise functions normally during regular usage. You can try these steps to fix it:

1. Battery Calibration Issue (Battery % Reading Incorrect)

Manually Calibrate the Battery

Charge to 100% → Leave it plugged in for 30 minutes.

Unplug and use normally until it completely shuts down due to low battery.

Let it rest for at least 3 hours (so the battery sensors reset).

Charge it back to 100% without interruption.

Repeat this process twice to see if the issue resolves.

HP Battery Protection or BIOS Power Management Issue

Disable "Fast Startup" in Windows

Go to Control Panel → Power Options.

Click "Choose what the power buttons do".

Click "Change settings that are currently unavailable".

Uncheck "Turn on fast startup".

Click Save changes, restart, and test.

Battery Driver Issue

Since you already updated the drivers, let’s try reinstalling them:

Open Device Manager → Expand Batteries.

Right-click Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery → Uninstall device.

Right-click Microsoft AC Adapter → Uninstall device.

Restart your PC (Windows will reinstall the drivers automatically).

Test again.

Let me know how it goes.

I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,
