Hi All.
I am charging the laptop via a USB-C OEM HP adapter and not the pin adapter as i have many all my other devices are USB-C.
I had an problem with my laptop that meant it woudnt detect a external monitor.
Having worked with HP laptops in the past, i removed the batter, ram and held the power button down for 20 seconds to drain residual charge.
This fixed the monitor detect issue.
Unfortunatly, it triggered a new problem.
When the battery would boot up, it started showing an error:
POST Error
HP Battery Alert
The system has detected the storage capacity of the battery stated below to be very low.
For optimal performance, the battery may need to be replaced.
Primary(Internal) Battery(601)
The strange thing is, the battery seems to be charging and holding charge.
I have tried to remove and reseat the battery connector.
Remove the Bios battery
Does anyone know what may have triggered the issue and how to rectify it.
