Good morning,
Recently my battery has some problems with charging when connected to power.
Last time I could fix it by disconnecting and connecting the battery to the laptop again, but sadly it's not resolving the issue this time. I've ran the hardware diagnostics and get the following code:
Before today I haven't used the laptop in a while, so it probably drained the battery in stand-by. The battery is at 0% atm and the laptop will instantly shut down when I disconnect it's power (since it's not charging).
I've tried to google the code, but no results, so I'm trying my luck here.
I hope someone has an idea what the code means.
Stefan

The failure ID tag translates to a Failure 601. The error message is Battery 1.
The main battery will have to be replaced to resolve the issue.
I see your notebook is out of warranty. The cost for the replacement battery is quite reasonable. I see one on Amazon.com for $55.00 and elsewhere for around $30.00.

I updated my previous post.
That is going to be the only option.
If in warranty, replacement would have be at no cost to you.
