Hi,
I am looking for a replacement battery for this HP, i believe the part number is HSTNN-LB6U.
I see plenty around for 250 G4. Is there a difference btwn the G4 & G5 battery wise (also see there are G6's).
I was also looking to increase the number of cells 4 to 6. Would this cause any issues (other than cost of replacement)?
Finally the units original had 2850 mah (surprised me). Many sellers offer 2200mah & 2600 mah....therefore not loosing much I suppose, but I am loosing 'grunt'. Are 2850mah/6 cells still around?
thanks

From the Service Manual:
battery options
This is an external click-in battery, right? This is likely what you are seeing:
In order to get the 2850 mah you need to find an original OEM HP battery and amazon generally just has aftermarket "compatibles".
Even this one is showing as 2620 mah but appears to be a 4-cell. No 6 cell has ever been made to my knowledge.
Post back with any more questions and please accept as solution if this is the info you needed.
