Battery for HP 15 Pavilion Notebook PC, 740716-001

Hi, I'm trying to locate a new battery for my laptop, a HP 15 Pavilion Notebook PC. The part number of the current battery is 740716-001 (as per attached photo). Presently I can't find anyone stocking this particular battery, and even a Google search on the number turns up no matches.

I'm wondering if the battery has been superseded by another one? Failing that, is there an alternative compatible HP battery  I could buy instead? Any help is appreciated as stand by time on the current unit is less than an hour now! Many thanks.

HP may change part(s) and that is normal for all vendors. What is your Pavilion 15 ? Please use the following instructions to find out the model/product of your machine:

Hey BH, thanks for the reply. According to the HP Support Assistant, the product number of the HP 15 Notebook PC is G8C99PA#ABG

Is that the correct information?

I can't see your first image. Your machine uses part number 740715-001, not 740716-001:

What a goose I am! Have found a supplier on eBay for the correctly numbered unit. Thanks again BH 🙂
