Product: Hp envy ah0051wm

When i connect my adapter to my hp laptop model ah0051wm the charging light does not turn on until i press power button where it shows a white light and the computer turns on , but when it turns on , at the sig in page the battery is marked with an x and when i sign in my laptop the battery icon is not shown

That is usually the case when the installed battery has no more service life, AKA dead.

 

 

The BIOS firmware does not see the S.M.A.R.T. battery on the SMBus so the OS put the red X where normally a battery state of charge icon would be seen
