Its a small battery (3 cell) with very little reserve capacity so not hard to understand why it might last only 2 years. I see no real alternative to replacement.
Here is the Service manual:
Battery replacement is shown on page 35.

How old is the laptop and the battery? Can we have the full model number so we can tell if it is an internal or removeable battery?
Likely answer is to replace the battery
