Hi @Jiten_Sharma,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your laptop!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Calibrate the Battery

Battery calibration can help ensure the battery indicator accurately reflects the current battery level.

  1. Charge the Battery: Plug your laptop in and fully charge the battery to 100%.
  2. Disconnect and Use: Unplug the charger and use the laptop until the battery drains and the laptop shuts down automatically.
  3. Recharge without Interruption: Reconnect the charger and allow the battery to fully charge again without using the laptop.
  4. Restart the Laptop: Once fully charged, restart your laptop.

Update Battery Driver

  1. Press Win + X and select Device Manager.
  2. Expand the Batteries category.
  3. Right-click on Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery and select Uninstall device.
  4. Restart your laptop. Windows will automatically reinstall the driver.

Run HP Hardware Diagnostics

  1. Restart your laptop and press Esc repeatedly until the Startup Menu screen appears.
  2. Press F2 to open the System Diagnostics.
  3. Select Component Tests and then Power.
  4. Run the Battery Test to identify any issues with the battery.

Perform a Hard Reset

  1. Turn off your laptop and disconnect all external devices.
  2. Unplug the charger.
  3. Press and hold the power button for about 10-15 seconds to drain any residual power.
  4. Plug the charger back in and turn on your laptop.

Check for Windows Updates

  1. Press Win + I to open the Settings.
  2. Navigate to Update & Security.
  3. Click on Check for updates and install any available updates.

Test with an External Battery Management Tool

Use an external battery management tool like HP Battery Check available in HP Support Assistant to diagnose and solve battery issues.

I hope this helps.
