Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I feeling very frustrated  using my HP 14-bf017tx . I just got my battery replace just after 15mths of usage.

By charging it 100% and discharge it from 100% everytime make no sense and  seems like HP DO NOT have a solution to let AC power up the laptop itself?????

I only need the battery to kicks-in when i bring my laptop out which I rarely do it. I only found out my battery is not working when i brought out with me. I only brought it out LESS than 4 times during the period of 15 months.

I play games too and it was like my laptop SHUT OFF itself while I was playing due to battery 0%.

I'm sorry I am not understanding the problem. What solution are you looking for? You can run the laptop off AC power. It seems you got a bad battery that dies in 15 months. How is the new one working for you?

As the battery is internal build, I want my laptop to be run in AC instead of battery. Charging and de-charging will definity deteriorate the battery life for long run.

Received advise from HP Singapore after my battery replacement last week, you will need charge up to 100% and unplug/turn-off  the AC and let it discharge while you are using. When the battery is low, turn on your AC and let it charge again to 100%.

Conclusion, there's no way to let AC power up my laptop while using instead of using the battery?

You misunderstand how the battery works. When it charges to 100% it stops charging. There is a chip inside that controls the charging function of the battery. It does not reduce the life of the battery to have it inside the laptop when the laptop is powered by AC. You cannot remove the battery because internal batteries also perform the function of a clock or RTC or CMOS battery and you would lose BIOS settings every time you unplug it from AC. Just use the laptop as designed. You do want to avoid letting the battery discharge below about 15-20%. I always tell people, run the laptop on AC power when available. Use the battery only when you must. Don't let the charge fall below 15-20% before plugging it back in.

But it seems like my laptop don't works this way. I did raise in another forum how to see if my AC is running instead of my battery after fully charge at 100%.

Everytime when it charge up to 100%, I can still see my status is still in charging mode.

Also, if it will auto cut off my battery and uses AC directly, how come my battery is faulty? As mention, i only bring it out of my home less than 4 times. My laptop is always on AC when i'm home.

I raise up this question to HP Singapore and what they told me is to charge 100%, unplug AC and discharge it. Charge again when it's low battery,

Please help and enlighten me on this.

If the battery never charges all the way and says "fully charged" that's a problem. I think the Help Desk folks are trying to tell you to calibrate it which does involve discharging then recharging but only do that 1 or 2 times, not all the time. If the calibration does not help with a new battery and it never reaches full charge there is some other larger problem going on.
