HP Envy 17t-bw000 battery issue- I can only turn on my laptop with AC adapter connected. Onec laptop is on I can disconnect AC adaptor but laptop has an issue with reading the charge on the battery.
Once laptop is on it shows battery crossed out or zero charge symbol art bottom right corner of display.
After I login into screen saver it shows battery 100% charged. Laptop has a brand new battery in it. The battery was changed several times to see if this conflict of either 0 or 100% battery charge reading will go away but it does not go away. Also white light next to AC adapter blinking. When I run HP diagnostics it says battery issue but does not give detail and it says AC adaptor okay. I tried several AC adapters so the AC adapter seems okay. BIOS and battery driver is up-to-date. Does anyone have any ideas on what to troubleshoot next to fix this battery reading and white light blinking next to adapter issue?
