My HP Spectre x360 laptop is not working without the adapter plugged in. Also, the battery isn't charging up and my battery status shows 0% available (plugged in). How can I resolve this issue?

Looks likely you may have to replace your laptop battery.
However, you could first try the troubleshooting steps outlined here: 4 Ways to Fix the HP Laptop Battery Not Charging Issue (partitionwizard.com)
If the aforementioned troubleshooting steps didn't solve your issue, and assuming that your laptop's p/n is 4CJ13AV (HP Spectre x360 - 13t-ap000 CTO), HP's p/n for a replacement battery is L28764-005 (SP04XL).

Hello @undertaker2 .
HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) tests the battery and can calibrate the battery if necessary. Battery Verification takes about two minutes and Calibration can take two hours or more.
Follow these steps to perform the battery test:
From the Component Tests menu, click Power, then Battery.
Click Run Once.
Battery Test screen with the Run Once option selected.
The Battery Test begins.
When the battery test is complete, the results will appear on the screen. To view more battery information, click Battery Details.
If the battery fails a test, note the failure identification number (24-digit code).
