Hi ! For the past couple of months i’ve been having issues with my computer . One day awhile ago , my conputer got to around 49 % and then shut off - no warnings or nothing . I had this problem & was confused about it until i did a battery test with that basically told me my computer could only go to 54 . Now , just about 2 days ago , i detach my computer from the charger and it dies. Trust me - i’ve experienced this issue first hand on multiple occasions . But i usually always just buy a new computer . However , ive only had this computer for over a year & it started having problems last year . Should I just attempt to find a battery and replace it ? Or could there be a deeper issue . Sorry if i sound naive i’m just really uninformed about this issue?

PS - if anyone can find a good quality battery for my laptop that would help tremendously . My battery “ number “ is 776622-001 .

PPS - when i removed my battery from my laptop & plugged it in w/o a battery it turned on . but as soon as i took it out it went black again .

Welcome to HP forums.

Re-start the notebook, keep tapping F10, and run a test with the battery. If it fails then it's a hardware failure.

In this case, I'd request you to speak to the support team for further assistance. 🙂
