Battery issues

HP Notebook - 15-ay192nr
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

What battery is compatible with this laptop. On the original battery it says to purchase Spare 807956-001. Any links to a place to purchase it would be great. Thanks in advance for the replies.

@davevidduong Since you have the Part number, you may order it via HP Parts Store and have it delivered to almost anywhere on the planet.

Click here to access the HP Parts Surfer to find the appropriate parts,

And then Click here to order the parts via the HP Parts Store.

Alternatively, You can order the parts at any local/online retailer as well, using the same part number as they are Universal.

I hope this helps!

@davevidduong If you didn't find it on the HP Parts Store, you may use the same (universal) part number to order via any local online stores such as eBay, Amazon, etc... simply google the part number, example: "807956-001, HP" to find the online listings for the part.

Battery issues

Yes I recently purchased one from eBay with the same name and it would be charging and then randomly go to 100% but when I took out the charger it went to 65%. The battery fit and everything it just kept doing that. So I'm trying to find one that fits. Could you tell me what the specs are for the original battery for this laptop?

@davevidduong If it was the same part number and yet it didn't work as it should have, there could be something wrong with the charging port, which means you will need to replace the motherboard or the dc port, depending on what has failed, please check with a local tech for support regarding identification of the failed component, alternatively, I suggest you talk to HP support and discuss your options,

follow the below steps to get started:

1) Click on this link - http://www.hp.com/contacthp/

2) Click on Sign-in or select the product using the below step:

3) Enter the serial of your device.

4) Select the country from the drop-down.

5) Click on "Show Options".

Fill the web-form, to populate a case number and phone number for yourself!

Also, if you are having trouble navigating through the above options, it's most likely because the device is out of warranty, if yes? please send me a private message with the region you are contacting us from,

@davevidduong You can find the part number on parts store just as you got the information for the battery, although, to be on a safer side, I suggest you check with a local tech for a spare adapter and ensure it works before purchasing or investing more on it, if you know what i mean.

Keep me posted.
