Battery goes flat if not used for 6 weeks ?

Hey! Yeah, that can definitely happen. If the HP 200 hasn’t been used for around 6 weeks, it’s pretty normal for the battery to drain completely, especially if it wasn’t fully charged before being left unused. Most laptops, even when off, still draw a little power for things like the clock or background processes.

Best thing to do is plug it in with the original charger and let it charge for a while before trying to power it on. If the battery went completely flat, it might take a few minutes before it shows any signs of life. And if you're planning to store it unused again, it's usually a good idea to charge it to around 50% and turn it off completely — not just put it to sleep — to help the battery last longer.
