My friend has the Hp Pavilion 14 ce0000ne and he gets 7-8 hours of battery life once fully charged . I have Hp Pavilion 14 ce3022tx and I achieve barely 3.5 to 4 hours of battery life . Basically the battery capacity is the same and even though ce0000ne has i7 with higher base frequency whereas ce3022tx has i5 with lower base frequency and almost many hardware are similar , why the huge battery life gap?

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
To get the answer to this question, It's absolutely normal and a feature by design.
After reading your post, I did go through the Product specifications of your product and found that you have 3-cell, 41 Wh Li-ion installed on the PC.
The average laptop battery is good for around 400 recharges cycles. After that, it starts to lose its capacity to hold a charge. This is about one and a half to three years of battery life for the average user. As the rechargeable battery begins to fail, the running time of the battery begins to decline.
Learn how to get the most service and life from your HP notebook battery by following these industry-wide suggested best practices.
