Spectre x360 13 inch
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I just bought a 13 inch HP Spectre x360 diamond cut. Battery barely lasts 6 hours on Battery saver mode and simple browsing. Nowhere close to the 22 hours claimed on the hp website (see below). I would be happy with half of the 22 hour claim. Is there an issue with the motherboard? Are there any recalls? Core i7 8565U 1.80 - 1.99GHZ  16GD Ram 512GB SSD Product ID  00330-80861-90754-AA935.  AL OS and BIOS patched to the latest with Windows update and HP Support assistant. BIOS F.22.

Windows 10 PRO 64 bit

Very disappointing.

22 hours? The claims just keep getting wilder and wilder. I don't ever know what to tell people who post questions like this. 6 hours of battery runtime while doing ordinary every day computing is pretty good. If you just bought it and can take it back do so because you are not likely to ever even get 11 hours. All I can advise is turn down the screen brightness as much as you can stand. No other tweak has as much effect. Most of the Experts do not actually work for HP so we do not write the marketing stuff. There is no hardware issue with the laptop I can assure you.

I bought the same model for the same reasons. HP support told me immediately to expect 5-6 hours. If I use Skype and Chrome, I get more like 4-5 hours, brand new machine all battery saving settings. The page read 22.5 hours average, and I would have settled for 10 hours.

Then why advertise more?  I bought through Amazon and will send it back.

Hey HP, this is what you sound like:

This new car uses the very latest electrogizmotronics and goes up to 800km on a single charge.*

*officially tested on paved 5% declined straight road with constant velocity and no people in the car.
