How long should the battery life be on this laptop? It was bought in April 2014 and it now refuses to charge.

Hi,

I usually replace batteries in my laptops about every 18-24 months as I will notice the degradation quite a lot.

So, 5 years is a really long time. If you need any help finding a replacement, provide the model number.
