Hi

My battery is not charging . White light near charging point blinks. I ran a components check and got failure id: 6AL722-7J1A6E-MFPWLJ-C0B303

Let me know what it means.

If I need to change my battery, how do I know which battery to order . Since the exact battery I have in my laptop(2700 mah) is not available on amazon. I get an option to purchase one with 2000mah that is compatible with my laptop. HP parts store do not show me any results for my product number.

@Ashuscorpio I've managed to decipher the failure ID and it represents code 601 which confirms a battery 1 failure,

the best way forward is to have the battery replaced, since you aren't getting any results on the HP Parts store, you can obtain the universal part number from the HP Maintenance and service guide: click here to access the same, then, you may want to get it locally at the online store such as newegg or eBay, etc..

Or, If you have an HP authorized service center near by, you should be able to take it to them and have it checked,
