HP Pavilion - 14-Al106na
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi, i recently asked a question about my battery not charging to 100%. And i tried several methods to try and fix it. Oddly it has made it worse.

I noticed that the battery was charging to 70% and then if you hovered over the symbol it would say "73% not charging".

I tried updating the BIOS, i tried uninstalling the driver and reinstalling it again. and this boosted it to 77%.

Then i let the battery run down to 6%, uninstalled the driver and reinstalled, then charged the laptop. Now it says "63% charging" but doesn't go above this.

I also done a battery report and it says:

DESIGN CAPACITY 41,395 mWh

FULL CHARGE CAPACITY 41,395 mWh

Any idea how to fix this issue? It doesn't seem to me that it is an issue with the battery but with the laptop charging it, and when the laptop perceives it to be full. I have read many people having the same problem, but the fixes mentioned above aren't working for me.

Thanks in advance

Hi, thanks for the reply. I've done that and there is no change.
