pavilion 15-cc134tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,My laptop Hp pavilion 15-cc134tx is only 10 months old.The battery is not charging fully. It charges till 90% and shows "plugged in not charging" message.Sometimes it stops charging at 87% and i am bothered about the fast discharge also. The battery is draining very fast than expected. The HP support Assistant and the Diagnostic tool shows that the AC ADAPTER and the Battery are OK.I noticed a weird thing with the HP support Assistant's info it doesnot increment the numbeer of cycles of my battery anymore it is struck at 100/1000whats wrong the cycles wont increase after every charge as mentioned in the passagewhats wrong the cycles wont increase after every charge as mentioned in the passage .Now what should i do? The battery is non removable by the way!

I DID THESE STEPS ALREADY:

1.Updated BIOS to the latest version.

2.Uninstalled and installed Battery drivers from the device manager.

Now please suggest me something

Finally, after battling for 2 months I successfully received a new battery from HP for Free. Its a manufacturing defect or aged early I don't know but the thing is I'm happy now but I MAY never recommend HP to anyone or buy myself one(future opinion may change)

Hello @peddintikartik,

One thing to note is that the full charge capacity of the battery is noted to be at 77% meaning your computer battery has decreased in its capacity to an extent where you should notice performance differences. Normally HP offers support options if there is a failure with the battery and one of the most common failure codes associated with HP consumer laptop batteries is in a situation where the battery full charge capacity is below 25%, also known as Failure Code 601.

Just to let you know, this is how to conduct an HP Hardware Diagnostic:

  1. Repeatedly press Esc upon startup
  2. Select F2 (System Diagnostics)
  3. Select the desired language
  4. Navigate to component tests
  5. Select Battery

Note that the above steps may vary depending on the configuration and some tests may not be available.

When/if you receive a failure ID, contact HP:

Contact HP Worldwide here.

Phone HP Worldwide here.

Check warranty status here.

Find an HP Authorized Service Center near you here.

All the best,

Eddy
