Pavilion 15-cc023cl
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My laptop (Pavilion 15-cc023cl) showed battery replace status. I installed a new HP battery (internal board), but the laptop could not detect the new battery and still shows "battery replace" when tested. The battery icon at the right bottom shows "Power mode (plugged in): Better performance", and always 46% and won't charge. Laptop only works when plugged in. I have updated window 10, bios and all drivers.  Please help.

From your description of the issue:

Power adapter is working as expected and the DC power plug  connector is OK since it powers up and runs.

Check to make sure that the battery connector is fully seated. If it is, the replacement battery should probably be replaced. I would request an RMA from the vendor I bought it from.
