I just started to use my Pavilion Notebook that I bought over 2 years ago (because my old HP has been behaving dodgy and the battery was not loading at all).
The battery in my "new" HP is also not loading, not even by it´s first use. It says it is charging but remeins at 0%.
Using it now with external powar but can not keep working like this.
Any suggestions? The battery was NEVER loaded and does not seem to want to be either.

What is the model of the laptop? Try a different electric outlet. You might also want to open an app in Windows called HP Support Assitant and run a diagnostic test on the battery. Not impossible to get a bad one out of the box but very rare.

Have done all this and much more... there is not an advice or youtube-video I havn´t seen. This is my last resort... and as I said a Pavillion Notebook from 2016. The diagnostic says everything is fine but the battery is just not charging - atr all. Not even when it says it is charging. It has NEVER been charged.

You have a laptop nearly 3 years old you just started to use???
Batteries are not like fine wine. They do not improve with storage and age. You might just have to accept that the battery is not going to work and replace it. And refusing to give us your model number is not exactly cooperating to a reasonable degree.

since my old HP has been sort of functioning and I have 3 other computers/lap tops YES! so what??
If the number would be under my lap top as per usual I would gladly share it, It is not like I am trying not to cooperate. There is really no need to be so rude!
It is a HP Pavillion Notebook 15, that is all the info I can get here in my Hotel room in Germany since the box (if I even have it) is back home...
Will buy a new battery then I guess since nothing I have tried to date has worked, and that is a whole aray of things by now.

The model number of the laptop would help me tell if maybe your battery is in the recall group which would give you a free one so its more I am frustrated not to have the tools needed to provide you a good Forum experience. If it's not subject to recall the number would also tell me what kind of new battery you need and likely amazon de could have one to you by tomorrow. Also will tell me if it's the old school clip in clip out battery or the kind you have to open the laptop to access. The Forum rules also say it's a good idea to post the model number basically for all these reasons so it's a matter of trying to help not rudeness.
So if you can get into the HP Support Assistant app when Windows is running it will list the Product Number of the laptop on the entry page and that will tell me the model number of the laptop and then we can really start to address your concerns meaningfully.

That absolutely is it. Thanks.
It may not be "Star Wars" branded but shares its hardware with the HP Star Wars laptops. It is an external clip in battery so that makes it easy to replace with no tools.
(18)Battery (4-cell, 41-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion) 800049-001
This is a genuine original battery:
Dieser ist billiger:
So I have given you a choice between a genuine original HP battery and a less expensive 3rd party battery. I believe amazon would ship to your hotel or will deliver to a pickup locker probably within a couple blocks of your hotel and you can have it very soon. Glueck.
