HP Recommended

Have a 9480M laptop with a battery issue 

Ran a battery test powercfg /batteryreport,  it shows battery 1 present, fully charged and operational.

Windows unfortunately shows:.

Battery 1 windows 10 shows "not present" even though it is installed

Battery 2 10 shows "present and 100% charged"  even though it's not installed.

Power cycled

replaced with new HP battery, same issue.  

Reset bios by removing CMOS battery, same issue.

Uninstall battery drivers, same issue

Password to reinstall bios is not giving me access and unable to reset.

With Battery 1 "not present" I'm only getting 1 1/2 hours from a full charge and have to travel with a brick 100% of the time.

any help, greatly appreciated.
