Keep getting battery error.  Lapton continues to function except I get errors and Windows sometimes shuts down.

Original battery has 4 cells.  Replacement has 6 cells.  Any difference?  Battery that came with laptop says it was made on 5.11.2011.  2 cells are dead.

Do you want the old core?  Is there a fix I don't know about?

It has 6-Cell 47WHr Lithium-Ion Battery at the begining, its specs

You should replace with 6-cell battery. The differece 6 vs 4 is 6 has 50% (depending which way you look at) more power therefore it has longer life between charge, You need part # 593553-001 which is  Battery (Primary) - 6-cell lithium-Ion (Li-Ion), 2.2Ah, 47Wh (MU06047) for your machine.

Regards.
