Common problems for Battery
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about: Battery Reports, Hold a charge, Test and Calibrating Battery . Check out this link: Is your notebook plugged in and not charging?

HP 2000 Notebook PC
Microsoft Windows 8.1 (64-bit)

My battery starts charging normally if below 39%, but starts saying, "plugged in, not charging" when it reaches 39%.

This has only happened today, but I unfortunately had the same problem this year (Mid-June, original battery had ceased working. Replaced it with an Amazon battery since late-June).

- I have uninstalled and reinstalled Compliant Control Method Battery, but I still encountered the same problem.

- I have also ran a Battery Check Diagnostic - whilst alone:

whilst charging:

- I have also updated my BIOS to a new version, still nothing changed.

-  Finally, I have also ran a component diagnostics battery test; told me that the battery failed, and the FID was GLPPXH-A38A87-MFGJW1-C0CV03.

This is probably isn't as difficult as I make it seem, but I would really love to get some help in this!

Thanks in advance 😊

@Jackie0305 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the battery charge up to 39%.

According to the failure code, the issue with battery. The part has to be replace.

I would suggets you contact our phone support and check for the support option. They will help you.

Or you can conatct the local service cnetr for repair.

Here is how you can get in touch with phone support.

1)Click on this link - www.hp.com/contacthp/

2)Select the product type.

3)Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

4)Select the country from the drop-down.

5)You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

We are experiencing longer than expected wait times to reach an agent due to the CoViD-19 impact and there might have been issues in you getting the expected resolution on the issue.
