Hi all,
i've just bought a Pavilion Gaming pc and it seems to have problems with the battery.
i've done all the tests hp make available, from bios settings test to HP support Assisstant battery test.
i also reinstalled as someone suggested in other post acpi microsoft driver from device manager but it doesn't solve my problems.
in brief when i charge the battery from 7 to 100% and remove the power supply, the battery stuck at 100% and after a few minutes it passes from 100% to 94% when it's discharging.
in addition to this windows doesn't seem to show how much time remains

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent Window or software update?
- When was the last time it worked fine?
- Did you make any changes to the settings of your PC prior to the issue?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps:
- 1. Go to Start, search for Device Manager, and open this result.
- 2. Expand batteries.
- 3. Right-click on the ACPI option (usually the 2nd option) and select delete or uninstall. Follow the prompts.
- 4. Shut down the computer.
- 5. Disconnect the charger.
- 6. Remove the battery. (only for removable battery)
- 7. Hold down the power button for 1 minute.
- 8. Insert the battery only. (only for removable battery)
- 9. Attempt to turn the battery on.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hi,
i don't know if it could be a recent update i've done in the past days.
The computer is new and was bought 2 weeks ago.
The points you suggest (1,2,3,4 and 5)have been done without any result and for the rest you listed below i don't have a removable battery.
Any other suggestion? the battery as i can see has 3 battery cicle charge and 8 months.
Thanks in advance

Thank you for posting back.
Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:
-
Turn on the computer.
-
Search for HP PC Hardware Diagnostics Windows, right-click the app in the search results, and then select Run as administrator.
If the app is not installed on your computer, download the latest version. See What if my computer does not have the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics for Windows? For more information.
-
Click Component Tests in the main menu.
-
In the list of Component Tests, click Power.
-
Select Battery Check, and then click Run once.
-
Wait while the test is in progress. The Battery Test takes about two minutes.
-
Click Finish on the Component Tests page.
-
Select Test Logs to see the results of the battery test.
-
When the testing is done, review the test logs that display for the status or condition of the battery.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
