Hi @Somank,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
If your HP PC is displaying a message indicating that the battery needs to be replaced, this suggests the battery has reached the end of its life cycle and is no longer providing sufficient power. Here's how you can address this issue:
Steps to address a failing battery:
- Check Battery Status:
- Use the "HP Battery Check" utility available in the HP Support Assistant tool to confirm the battery's condition.
- You can download the HP Support Assistant from HP Support Assistant | HP® Support if it's not already installed on your PC.
- Run HP Battery Check:
- In Windows, search for and open HP Support Assistant.
- Click on the "Battery" section.
- Click "Run battery check" to perform a health check on your battery.
- Review the results provided to confirm the battery replacement requirement.
- Battery Replacement Notification:
- Messages like "Replace" or "Failure with an ID number" suggest that the battery has experienced a hardware failure and needs replacement.
- If the battery is still under warranty, you may contact HP customer support for a potential replacement. Visit Official HP® Support for more details.
- Perform Physical Inspection:
- Ensure the battery is seated correctly in the compartment.
- Check for any visible damage or dust in the battery terminal connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have an amazing day!
