Hi, I believe my battery has died and I'm in need of a replacement. I cannot find the battery I need on the HP parts website.

I can however find batteries elsewhere but their specifications are slightly different.

Mine is 5225mAh 11.1V 62Wh

Where could I find one of these?

Hi,

Just go on eBay and search the part number. HP probably sold out all stock a long time ago since this is a Haswell computer.

I'd prefer the original batteries with the HP print on it but those Green Cell ones look also good. Unfortunately there are not many genuine 62Wh units and those few cost a fortune.

Thanks for your response. I understand that a 4400mAh battery wouldn't power the device for as long as a 5225mAh but that is acceptable.

What effect would the different voltages (11.1, 10.8, 10 and so on) and watt-hours on my laptop? Does it mean the laptop will have worse performance?
