Hi  .. i'm looking to replace the battery of my laotop  .... location Mumbai .... could not find the same in HP store .... so please help to clarify .. 1. Does HP provide original batteries. 2. Are battery available in open market good enough be to be replaced. 3. What are the critical checks which i should be aware of while replacing the battery in open  market .. thanks

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,
After reading your post, I did go through the Product Specifications of your product and found out that your computer shipped with the 3-cell, 41 Wh Li-ion. Here is the battery part number: 916811-855 you can enter the part numbers in the Google search bar to discover the website selling the exact battery.
