Battery replacement for HP Spectra x360 Convertible 13-ap0028xx

Hello, where would I be able to purchase a replacement Rechargeable Li-ion Battery for my HP Spectre x360 - 13-ap0028xx (2019).  I am not able to find based on the original Part Number: L28538-1C2.  Is there an genuine HP or compatible equivalent available online or at re-sellers?  I am located in British Columbia in Canada.  Much appreciate your advice.  Thanks!

The service manual (on page 26) states that your battery's HP part number is L28764-005 (battery description: 4-cell, 61-WHr, 3.99-AHr, Li-ion).

HP Parts Store doesn't carry your battery.

You can do a search using the HP part number on vendors such as Amazon, eBay and Newegg for after-market compatible replacement batteries.

L28538-1C2 is probably printed on your stock battery, but since the manual shows L28764-005, you should use this number for replacement batteries. The aforementioned vendors all carry your battery.

Hello, thanks for the quick reply, and helpful guidance on where to source a replacement.  I have read on Amazon Canada one user comment where they purchased a replacement battery from there, and when they plugged into their laptop, not only did it NOT work, but it also cause damage to their laptop where it would not turn ON at all.   Is there any way to special order the original HP battery from HP to mitigate such a risk?

You can contact HP authorized parts reseller for the original HP battery.

If this doesn't work, I suppose you need to get a replacement battery from a third-party vendor. Click the link below and check the batteries for their specs. Some of them are called 'original battery,' with other HP part number (L28538-1C1) printed on the label.
