My HP Omen is more than 3 years old and has recently been having power retention issues. The diagnostic shows it should be replaced. This is the first laptop I have owned that doesn't have a detachable battery pack, so I can't see, the battery to replace it and the HP system is of no help. It brings up all sorts of replacement batteries, but how do I know which is the best for my laptop? Plus, I have no idea where the battery is and I'm not in a place where I can just open her up. Anyone have experience with an HP Envy 15t-ce100 CTO??

Firstly its battery is replaceable. The series uses 2 different batteries
- 4-cell, 70-WHr, 4.55-AH, Li-ion for use in products equipped with the N17E GPU part # 917724-855
- 3-cell, 52.5-WHr, 4.55-AH, Li-ion for use only in products equipped with the N17P GPU part # L08855-855
Your machine is a CTO machine, I can't get its specs but part # 917724-855 is the good bet which is N/A from HP now

You can use part # to search elsewhere. I saw it on Newegg for $81. HP won't allow me to post the link, please help yourself.
The following manual (page 36) shows you how to replace battery

Thank you, thank you, thank you! I love my laptop but was afraid I would have had to replace it if I couldn't get this figured out. But I've ordered a replacement battery and next week I will replace this one. Thank you, again!!!!
