Product: HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0038nt

My battery died and the battery inside my laptop is "SR03XL". I wanted to replace it with a new one but should I buy same battery or can I buy "SR04XL" ? And ıs there any guide pdf or video about changing battery that can help me?

Use the HP part number that is on the laptop, not the generic designation that is there. There are two optional batteries. The 4-cell unit is the high capacity battery.

Your HP Gaming Pavilion - 15-cx0038nt (8KY27EA). according to: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c06455408, and: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05985643.pdf, either is fitted with the 3-cell, 52.5 Whr HP p/n: L08855-855 "SR03XL" battery, or the 4-cell, 70-Whr HP p/n: 917724-856 "SR04XL" battery.

 

Point is, the literature says that they are not necessarily compatible with each other, and it is discouraged to swap one for the other. Meaning, replace your battery with the right replacement battery for your laptop in order to avoid damage. As always, when buying a replacement battery, please carefully compare your original battery against the new one. Always check the specifications, shape, attachment mounts, part# and voltage, power connection.

 

Quality SR03XL or SR04XL replacement batteries can be readily purchased online.  Examples are:
