Hello can I replace my weak battery TA03051XL 51wh with CS03XL 46wh battery, for hp elitebook 840 g4

Welcome to our HP User Forum!

 

Yes, you can replace the battery for your HP EliteBook 840 G4 Notebook PC with a non-OEM TA03XL* (CS03XL) battery.

 

According to the manual: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c05357618.pdf, a replacement battery should be as close as possible to HP's OEM specifications for p/n: 854108-850 "3 cell, 51 WHr, 4.42 Ah".  Meaning, a brand-new 46Wh battery is better than a weak/spend 51Wh battery, but ideally you should replace it with an equal or better battery.
