Thank you for posting on HP Forums,

As I understand, battery test canceled,

No worries, as I'll be glad to help you, that said, I'll need a few more details to dissect your concern & provide an accurate solution:

Why are you performing battery test?

Could you elaborate on the issue?

Let's try these steps to resolve the issue:

You could try another method to perform the battery test:

Use the following steps to open the Component Tests menu.

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.

  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second. When the menu appears, press the F2 key.

  3. On the main menu, click Component Tests.

  4. The Component Tests menu displays.

Your Component Tests menu might be different, depending on the components installed on your computer.

  5. In the Component Tests menu, click Power, and then click Battery.

  6. Click Run once.

  7. The Battery Test begins.

  8. When the battery test is complete, the results are displayed on the screen. For additional battery information, click Battery Details.

Let me know,

Cheers!

Thankyou for your reply

1. The reason i did it because i buy a new battery for my laptop.

2. the steps you mention i can not perform because no such window opens to do these tasks. Only It shows *memory test* and * Hard drive test* options only . After clicking on both of these options respectively , the pc tests only these two . * No Battery option on the screen !!! Thats why i downloaded this Hp software to check my battery .

3. Also i installed hp support  to check my battery , on the first day result says its ok . On the second day results said Need to be callibrated . I follow the instructions appeared on the screen . After that , again the result was same . Then i watched Hp video about how to manualy calibrate the battery . i did that too. But hp diagnostic software result says *Canceled , and Hp support says * Callibrate .

Waiting for your reply...

May I know where did you purchase the battery from?

Let's try reinstalling the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery

Step 01. Click on the Start Button
Step 02. Type "Device Manager" in the start search box & open the Device Manager
Step 03. Look for Batteries and expand it by click on the + symbol on the left
Step 04. Right Click on "Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery" & uninstall
Note: This Battery driver will get re-installed automatically when you restart the Notebook again
Step 05. Please Shutdown the Notebook
Step 06. Please remove the Battery and unplug the Power Adapter
Step 07. Press and Hold the Power Button for full 1 Minute
Step 08. Go ahead and put back the Battery and connect the Power Adapter
Step 09. Look for "Plugged In Charging" message on the Battery icon

Then download the BIOS from this Link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-15-d000-Notebook-PC-series/6529963/model/6822794

Check if the battery is charging and working

Also refer to the section " Calibrate the battery manually " in this Link: https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c04700771

Keep me posted if you need further assistance

Thank you and have a wonderful weekend 😊
