HP Notebook - 15-af008ax
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,

I encountered 601 error while starting my laptop. I ran the HP Hardware Diagnostic tool and found the battery has gone bad. I believe I need to buy a new battery. Where can I find an original battery for my notebook? Found this on Amazon.

The one that i found on Amazon is a 4-cell battery. I would like to know whether there is another suitable battery for my laptop like 6-cell battery that promises longer battery life?.

Thank you,

Anvin

From the Maintenance & Service guide there are two OEM  batteries that are suitable for your notebook.

(17) Battery:

4-cell, 41-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery HP p/n 807957-001

3-cell, 31-Whr, 2.8-Ah Li-ion battery HP p/n 807956-001

The one you found on Amazon will work.

This is what I found on Amazon.in in my search for a battery with a good price.

Great stuff.. quick response. Placed an order for the new battery. Thank you!

I have another query.  See the image. Not sure how to fix the key? Do I need to replace the entire keyboard?

Thanks mate!

I don't see anything available in your region.

Here is what I found in my search. Replacement keys are indeed available.

This company ships internationally.

Which one could be mine? Here is pic of the letter A's slot:

Which one could be mine among these? Also do you think that there is any damage in the slot. If yes, the new key that I purchase may not fit.

I really can't give it an inspection with low resolution two dimensional images.

If you can still use the letter by pressing it, maybe there is not damage. You can look at it and see if there is any damage. I cannot.

You may be better off finding a replacement keyboard. Use the Maintenance & service guide to get the part number that is applicable to your notebook and language.  I will provide a hyperlink to the manual  or the HP Partsurfer as appropriate, shortly.

Here is the list of appropriate keyboard replacements

Ohk, thank you. The letter is working perfectly fine. Its just that rubber and the key pops out while typing. I thought I will buy a key. Was wondering which one fits the slot among the regular ones mentioned in the laptopkeys site

As I said before, I really can't tell via a two dimensional image.

Why not take it to a notebook shop and ask the technician for advice?
