My battery won't charge. The first thing I tried was replacing the battery, since my laptop is about 3 years old. It seemed early, but not unreasonable. Battery was fine for a charging cycle or two. Then it would not charge. I have deleted the drivers, removed the battery, reinstalled the battery and restarted as suggested on other forums. I have tried this 3 times. Each time, the problem seemed to be resolved for one charging/discharging cycle. Since this laptop does not have a removable battery, it is quite a hassle each time I need to charge the device. Is there a permanent solution?

Unfortunately, I have a new issue. Immediately after updating the bios, the battery showed at 85%. It was off and plugged in overnight and went down to 83%. It is now at 81% after being on, and plugged in, for about an hour.
Thoughts?

Sorry about the slow response. I was sick. All better now! Yay!
I updated the BIOS per your instructions and the battery seems to be operating normally except that it does not charge past 85%. I did the battery test and the battery failed. This surprises me since the battery is new. It has only had 3 or 4 charge/recharge cycles.
