I wanted to bring to your attention an issue I’ve been experiencing with my laptop battery. It charges extremely quickly, but unfortunately, it also drains just as fast, even with minimal usage. This has been impacting my ability to work and do school efficiently, and I wanted to check if this might be a hardware issue or if there’s a recommended solution or next step you could advise. Thank you.

@RandiT1, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Fast Battery Drain on HP Laptops!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It looks like you are experiencing significant battery issues with your laptop. Here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot and potentially resolve the issue:
Check Battery Health: Use the HP Support Assistant to check the health of your battery. It can provide insights into whether the battery needs to be replaced.
Adjust Power Settings: Modify your power settings to ensure they are optimized for battery usage. You can find these settings under Control Panel -> Hardware and Sound -> Power Options.
Turn Off Unnecessary Features: Disable Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and other features if they are not being used, as they can drain the battery quickly.
Reduce Screen Brightness: Lower the screen brightness to help save battery power.
Update Drivers: Ensure all your drivers, especially for the battery, are up-to-date using the HP Support Assistant or via the HP website.
Battery Saver Mode: Use the battery saver mode provided by Windows to extend battery life. This mode adjusts your system settings to reduce power consumption.
Background Apps: Close any unnecessary apps running in the background that might be consuming excess power.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
