I have a new HP Laptop 15s-fq2xxx laptop. i want to make sure if my product is lithium ion based battery, if it is the case i want to know if these practices can help to avoid battery degradation over time :

  1. Avoiding Extreme Levels: Keeping my battery charge between 20% and 80% is ideal for longevity.
  2. No Need for Monthly Full Cycles: I don’t need to perform monthly full cycles. In fact, it’s unnecessary and won’t significantly impact my battery health.
  3. Calibration: If I notice your battery gauge behaving inaccurately (e.g., showing incorrect charge levels), I can perform a full discharge and recharge once every 3-6 months. This helps recalibrate the gauge.

If these considerations are not safe for my battery health, please tell me the best practices to maintain my battery health.

i want to activate the option of limited battery charge ( at 80%) to maintain my lithium battery safe. I watched a video from HP support on YouTube,  they explained that I can configure it from the bios mode but when I tried their suggestion I didn't find that option in my bios. what should I do ?
