As per the specification and Maintenance and Service Guide, I see that your notebook does not have M.2 slot to have an SSD installed. You can only install a hard drive. Your notebook was shipped with the maximum storage of 1TB 5400RPM hard drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection.
However, you could refer to the Maintenance and Service Guide (Page number: 94) for hard drive replacement. It will provide the hard drives and their part numbers with which you can replace the part on your notebook. (Except for this 1.5 TB, 5400 rpm 9.5 mm for HP Pavilion 15 Notebooks and AMD computers only 747375-005 which is not for your notebook).
Hope this helps 🙂

Thanks for responding 🙂
It's great to have you back,
You could either purchase one of these hard drives for your notebook:
- 1 TB, 5400 rpm, 9.5 mm (Part Number:778192-005)
- 1 TB, 5400 rpm 9.5 mm (Part Number: 731999-005)
You could purchase them from the HP Part Store.
Cheers!

Thanks for reaching out to us,
As per the information provided earlier, SATA 1 hard drives are the only ones tested and compatible with your notebook. I would suggest you replace with one of the mentioned hard drives in my earlier post.
Hope this helps!
Cheers!
