Best vendor for new laptop battery

Hey Guys, quick question....who or what is the most reliable vendor to get a replacement battery for my elitebook 840 g4? Tried a few battery finder sites, seems their results were all over the place. I'd like to get one as close or exactly like the one it's using. It's an internal battery, so, I only want to attempt removing it when necessary. Thanks for any help.

The replacement battery industry is not very transparent. There are a lot of different names used by the same handful of factories that make laptop batteries. In some cases, the "generic" sellers also make branded OEM batteries, but sell them on the side for less money. All else equal you want a genuine HP logoed battery if possible as long as it is not a lot more expensive.

Hey thanks for the info. I was getting a little discouraged trying to to find an oem battery. Had some bad experiences with purchasing batteries that claimed to be "compatible". If it helps, the battery ID # is SS03050XL. I'm assuming the one you suggested will be fine??

Yes you have to search by the HP Part # not the manufacturer designation
