OMEN by HP Laptop 15-dc0xxx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have the 1050 ti version of this laptop and realised that the performance isn't as good as it's supposed to be. I beleive this is because of the thermals affecting the processor. Is there no way to improve or upgrade the cooling or a way to lower temperatures to avoid this throttling? Getting 90+ fps in games and then that spiking down to 60 is very noticeable and very annoying.

Have you tried turning on one of the modes in the HP Command Centre so that the fans would manually turn to high in anticipation of heavy CPU usage to try and cool the laptop faster?

I think it is the second option from the top, but you need to be plugged into the power plug. Here is how it should look, I have attached a picture below, it is the second option.

I've just turned it on without any games running and saw a reduction of about 5-6 degrees. I guess it'll be fine if is keeps the temps under 80 but hopefully there's another solution to keep temps a little bit lower. Thanks though, I didn't know that feature even existed xD!
